After care is half of the permanent makeup process! The first couple of hours immediately after the procedure is especially important as lymphs may ooze out of the treated skin and potentially form heavy scabs. Artists might instruct their clients to wipe off the lymph with baby wipes, tissues or cotton pads damped with sterile water.
However...
Baby wipes are made for babies, not tattoos. A lot of baby wipes contain fragrance and other ingredients that might irritate open skin. Tissues or cotton pads alone cannot effectively wipe off the lymph as they are dry and lint may potentially stick to the open skin and form heavier scabs. Looking for sterile water to clean the new tattoo is a hassle for both clients and artists.
Most importantly, baby wipes, tissues or cotton pads are NOT sterile.
This is where the Sterile Water Wipes come into play!

After each procedure, give your client about 10 packets of Sterile Water Wipes and instruct him/her to wipe treated area every half an hour, or whenever lymph is oozing. One piece of Sterile Water Wipe is sufficient for both eyebrows. Effective removal of lymph can avoid heavy scabbing later during the healing process due to lymph build up. Heavy scabs are usually associated with less optimal healed results. Clients can also use Sterile Water Wipes throughout the entire healing process to clean treated area. |
